Final Piece - Layer Two Completed . . .

Center plastic piece, in order to create the 3D effect you can see on my other pieces is now punched, cut out, sewn on and glued on. Now all i have to do is string layer three and hope i get the tension right so that it one looks good at the end, but two keeps the plastic center at a 90 degree angle.

Final Piece - Layer One Completed . . .

First layer in making my final piece is now completed YEYE!! However my deadline is Friday 30th April and before then I should really go back to college for at least a week to take down all my stuff for the final show so I am trying to be finished by this friday instead...ekkk!!

Final Piece . . .

7th April 2010 - Creating the canvas, Painting it black, and marking and making the holes to sew on the design.

13th April 2010 - Starting to sew on the design, after finding enough coloured embrodiery threads.

15th April 2010 - Continuing to sew the first layer of stitching onto the canvas.

My final piece for my college work is a much larger version of many of the pieces i have created before, yet this one is based on the images/building of my college itself, following the idea of a piece being inspired by a building and then being displayed inside. The above images are how it has evolved to its current state.

Crochet Earings . . .

First time experimenting with crochet around a bangle, instead of working out like most, or just covering the bangle I have slowly worked inwards, and created, what I think are very groovy earings.

Crochet Bag Finished . . .

Finally finished my crochet bag. WoooP!! It took a while and i ended up not really using the pattern, which was probably not the best idea, as it is now pretty massive, and in wool it is forever stretching so eventually I'll be able to get inside it. But for now it works pretty good as an over night bag.
